Welcome to my part of the internet

I’m Joanna, founder of Joanna Moss Creative. With nearly two decades of experience in web design, I help creative entrepreneurs launch websites that are both visually stunning and strategically effective. My specialty is blending beauty with functionality—so your site isn’t just pretty, but also converts.

I partner closely with TONIC Site Shop because their templates consistently raise the bar. Every TONIC template is beautifully designed, highly strategic, and built for customization. Martini is no exception.

First Impressions of Martini

The first time I opened the Martini demo, my reaction was: Wow, this is going to turn heads.

✔️ Unique and high-end
✔️ Forward, edgy, and dynamic
✔️ Modern with big layouts that make a statement
✔️ Added text animations powered by custom code

Martini feels confident. It’s not afraid to take up space, and it’s not a template that will appeal to everyone. But for the right brand? It’s a showstopper.

What I Love About Martini

Here are the details that caught my eye as a designer:

  • Photo Stacking & Movement – Images slide, stack, and move across text, adding depth and dimension. Some might find it bold, but for others, it’s the difference between flat and dynamic design.
  • Photo + Video Integration – The Martini template blends photos and video seamlessly, allowing you to showcase your work in creative ways without overwhelming the viewer.
  • Editorial Blog Design – The blog layout feels high-end and magazine-inspired. It invites readers to linger and explore your content, which is key for brand storytelling.
  • SEO Potential – With plenty of space for headings, subheadings, and copy, this Showit template is a dream for SEO.
  • Versatility – While bold, Martini can adapt beautifully to many industries—from photographers and planners to marketing agencies, consultants, and personal brands.

Who It’s For (and Who It’s Not For)

Martini is perfect for:

  • Established businesses that are confident in their brand
  • Brands ready to modernize their look and feel
  • Companies with lots of testimonials and strong portfolios
  • Multi-service businesses (e.g., wedding + portrait + event photographers)
  • Entrepreneurs who deliver content in different formats (blog, podcast, etc.)
  • Non-photographers who use stock imagery but want an editorial, high-end design

This TONIC template is not the right fit for:

  • New business owners still figuring out their direction
  • People who get easily overwhelmed by too many options (this template is big!)
  • Brand-new businesses (I’d recommend a smaller Showit template like Negroni)

Customization Notes

Martini is big. Like Aperol Spritz and Valencia, it has tons of pages, canvases, and options. That’s exciting—but also intimidating if you’re brand new to Showit.

Here’s what I recommend:

  • Work with a designer if you want to get the most out of its customization options.
  • Be familiar with Showit’s functionality (especially since Martini incorporates some custom code for animations).
  • Always pair it with strong copywriting to ensure your brand message lands in the right places.

With the right strategy, this Showit template can be transformed into something truly custom and authentic.

Client Transformation Example

One of my favourite Martini projects was for Kyle Rivas of Rivas Media. Martini gave us the bold framework, and together we customized it into something that truly fit his brand.

Here’s what Kyle said after launch:

💬 “It’s amazing seeing all of the pieces come together! THANK YOU for your great work on the site. I’m extremely happy with how it all turned out. It really does a great job in showcasing the work. You gave us the ability to grow. The site’s easy to maintain and update, which is all I wanted—but we got so much more in the process.”

That’s the transformation Martini makes possible: a bold, versatile TONIC template that grows with you.

Your Martini Template Questions, Answered

Q: Can I customize this template on my own?
A: Yes, Showit is drag-and-drop. But Martini is big and uses some code for animations. If you’re new to Showit, working with a designer can help you get the most out of it.

Q: Why TONIC templates?
A: TONIC templates combine gorgeous, editorial design with strategy. They’re flexible, modern, and built to actually help you book clients. Martini is a perfect example of that blend.

Q: The site feels huge. Can I remove pages or sections?
A: Absolutely! Showit is flexible. You can scale Martini down by removing sections, or keep it expansive if you want all the bells and whistles.

Q: Can I add my own brand colors and fonts?
A: 100%. Martini’s default design is bold and modern, but you can adapt it with your own branding to make it uniquely yours.

Q: Do I need both the TONIC Martini template and Showit?
A: Yes—you’ll need both. Showit is the website platform (like the engine that runs your site), and Martini is a TONIC template (like the design layered on top). Together, they give you the tools to launch a fully customized website without code.

Why I Choose Showit

I often get asked: why Showit? Why not Squarespace, Wix, or WordPress on its own?

Here’s why I recommend Showit to my clients (and use it myself):

  • True Drag-and-Drop Freedom – You can move anything, anywhere—without coding.
  • Creative Flexibility – Showit gives you the ability to design outside the box, unlike rigid platforms.
  • WordPress Blog Integration – You get the power of WordPress for blogging, paired with the beauty of Showit for design.
  • Scalability – Whether you’re starting small or managing a big site like Martini, Showit can grow with you.
  • Support for Creatives – It was built for photographers, planners, and entrepreneurs who need beautiful design and functionality.

When you pair Showit with a bold TONIC template like Martini, you’re getting the best of both worlds: design that wows and strategy that works.

Final Thoughts

The Martini template is forward, bold, and dynamic. It’s not a one-size-fits-all Showit template, but for the right business, it’s transformative. With its high-end design, versatile layouts, and editorial blog, it has everything you need to modernize your brand and grow.

I loved customizing it for Rivas Media, and I can’t wait to work with Martini again.
