There are many places in this world that I haven’t seen and would still love to see. As the world around us changes, and as I grow and our family changes I find that my Travel Bucket list also changes from places I want to go, to places I want to show my kids; and of course place I would love to shoot a destination wedding (duh!).
St. Lucia
This has been on the top of my bucket list for over 10 years, and it will continue to be on the top of my bucket list until I get there… Hopefully soon. Living in the Caribbean for 3 years you’d think another Caribbean island would top my list. What draws me there is the nature and how the mountains touch the water.
Bora Bora
When I see the crystal blue waters and the huts on the ocean, with a beautiful coral reef surrounding the small islands my breath gets taken away every time. I can just imagine jumping in the water right from the deck and not needing anything else for 2 weeks.
Iceland
This fairly new bucket list location has sneaked on the list of many photographers drawn to the lush greenery, untouched nature and beautiful waterfalls. Wedding anyone?
Portugal
I imagine quiet beaches, cliffs, small roads and a very easy going atmosphere. Beautiful sunsets and relaxing. So maybe when the kids get a little older.
Italy
Wine, Olives, (gluten free) pasta. Italy gets knocked down the list a little because my love of pasta has taken a horrible turn when I found out I needed to go gluten free. However I would love to travel around Italy, through Tuscany, Venice, Pisa, Rome and everything in between.
Hawaii
I’ve only been to Hawaii once and it was when I was 18 years old; I remember loving it. I have no idea why I haven’t been back in so many years. This is definitely a place where I think my family will really enjoy!
A few more in no particular order…
Canada: Haida Gwaii, Prince Edward Island
USA: New York City, New Orleans, Grand Canyon / Antelope Canyon, Joshua Tree, Lake Tahoe, Alaska.
Europe: Scotland, Switzerland, Greece (yes I lived there but I was 5 years old!), Paris (I have only been there for a few days – need more time!)
