Joanna the Entrepreneur...
There is a long roundabout story that got me to where I am today. It started in 2003 a week before I graduated from college, valedictorian of my class, no job and no plans for the future. Scrambling as a soon to be graduate knowing that I wanted to be a part of a new wave, the way of business in the future. That was when I received a phone call, I got a job I had interviewed for a week before. I was going to be a website developer. As I very soon after realized I hated coding - I was an artist! So soon after came the natural progression to website designer. I worked with companies in Canada and the Cayman Islands in website design, marketing and branding. But I knew true to my heart I was an entrepreneur. I am a self-starter. I am self motivated. Most importantly I worked very fast and it irritated me to no end needing to sit in an office staring out the window at the beautiful weather with nothing to do. So it began, my first and not my last business venture - as a designer, marketer and photographer.
The only reason I HUSTLE
like I do... is because I LOVE
what I do!
WORK WITH ME
Joanna the Wife, the Mother, the person...
I'm all about FUN not PERFECT! My husband and I are major Disneyland enthusiasts and my two boys love that we are. We love to travel, anywhere warm, with a beach, where the boys can play and we can relax. We love being outdoors, (but I can't stand bugs!) Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge are two of our favourite family outings all year long. I would love to live in a place I could get away with wearing flip flops all year round. I love ice cream, coffee and experimenting with cocktails (Gluten-Free of course)! Sometimes the little things in life can tell you the most about a person.
Copper Boom!! (You'll understand if you love Gilmore Girls as I do!!!)
There is nothing I love more than a lazy weekend morning where I can just hang with the boys. A good cup of coffee, warm fireplace and PJs till after lunch!
FAMILY & LAZY WEEKENDS
It doesn't matter what type of mood I'm in flowers will always lift my spirits.
I love trying new cocktails and experimenting at home with new gluten free cocktail recipes. Moscow Mule, Mojitos, Sangria, I love adding fresh fruits and herbs to my drinks.
You don't spend three years in one place if you haven't fallen in love with it. It's been years since I've moved back but I still think about the amazing beaches daily.
I love pretty things, journals, calendars, paper clips, pens, little dishes. Anything that will make a pretty photo for Instagram!
I love trying new coffee shops, new roasts and bringing new amazing flavours home. My favourite at the moment is 49th Parallel Coffee roasted right here in Vancouver.
